Anger Management With Adolescents

Course Description: Working with adolescents can often involve work addressing anger issues. Taking material from George Anderson’s well known approach to anger management; this course will identify various approaches and tools to help adolescents increase their own personal awareness of their emotions as well as their coping skills to manage anger and stress. About the Trainer: Denis Sullivan, C.A.M.F . is the Director of Anger Management Services for Associates in Professional Counseling and Coaching. He is a licensed Secondary Education Teacher in the state of Illinois and a National Certified Anger Management Specialist. With a BS in Psychology and Secondary Education from DePaul University, Mr. Sullivan has 15 years of experience in Psychoeducational Training, ranging from the Children’s Memorial Psychiatric Curriculum Development for the Partial Hospitalization Unit, the International Anderson & Anderson Curriculum and Controlled Negotiation Training for Special Counsel to the U.N. He has developed numerous department initiatives and trained staff for school districts with focuses on incorporating anger/stress management, diversity sensitivity, civic responsibility, adolescent contemporary issues and leadership training.

Continuing Education Hours: This program is recognized as providing 3 CEU's for: LPC/LCPC, LSW/LCSW.
