Classroom Management

Course Description: Every teacher knows that managing a classroom successfully creates a better learning environment. What makes this difficult is the diversity of learning styles, learning interests and what children have learned at home. In this experiential presentation, attendees will:

Learn how to identify behavior categories.
Learn how to intervene with difficult students.
Learn techniques and activities that will engage even the most difficult student.

About the Trainer: Charla Waxman, MBA, Ed. D. has worked with adolescents for more than twenty five years. As Director of Business Development at Linden Oaks at Edward, Charla provides countless presentations on mental health and adolescent issues. She has received the Milton Thrasher Award twice from the National Gang Crime Research Center for her work with gang members. She is published in the areas of gangs, anger management, adolescent behavior and the history of mental health.
