Crisis Incident Stress Management (CISM) Orientatiion: Understanding and using Critical Incident Stress Management is an important aspect of school or business crisis planning. CISM represents an integrated, comprehensive, multi-component crisis intervention program. Its comprehensive nature gives it flexibility to be applied to a wide range of settings and constituent groups. This crisis intervention system is useful in schools, businesses and industry, as well as in public safety and mass disaster applications. The 3-hour orientation course will provide an overview of the CISM program. It will help the attendee know what to expect and how to work with crisis workers responding to the crisis situation.
